It all began with a question: can a chicken be a pet?

That was the challenge our four founders set themselves in the final year of their product design course at the Royal College of Art in London. They graduated in 2003 with the first Eglu prototype, a coop that challenged convention and made the idea of pet chickens feel not just possible, but joyful.

For over 20 years, that same inquisitive approach to design has shaped every product we make - watching and learning from our animals’ behaviour to create solutions that bring people and pets closer together. It’s why our coops look different, work smarter and often make people ask: why hasn’t it always been done this way?
