MPE Exhibit/Product Acceptability Standards For 2025
Effective January 1, 2024. Marketplace Events (MPE) acceptability standards do not permit political candidates, parties or other groups promoting issues or ballot initiatives to participate as exhibitors. In addition, the display or sale of any products or services that are political/partisan in nature or that can be interpreted to promote, incite, or glorify hatred, violence, racial, sexual, or religious intolerance are prohibited. MPE’s judgment in applying these standards will be final.
MPE shows are welcoming environments built solely to encourage face-to-face commerce. Creating respectful, safe marketplaces where our attendees and exhibitors can come together to learn, shop, compare pricing and do business together is our highest priority. MPE maintains these policies to ensure hospitable experiences for all attendees and exhibitors

Plant Market Vendors - Please Read
Here are a few rules & tips for our Plant Market Vendors.
Move-In hours are on Thursday Feb. 5th between 2p-7p.
You can start breaking down your booth at 5:01p on Sunday Feb 8th.
No pop up tents or canopies
To order electrical, please fill out an Electrical Services Order Form found HERE and send the completed form to houstonutilities@freeman.com. You can also call 832-667-2651 and speak with a facility member.
If you need to rent tables, chairs, or flooring please reach out to our show decorator, GEMS. Online order form found HERE. You can also call GEMS directly at 214-388-5722 x 1.
Show Decorator | GEMS
Exhibitors are responsible for flooring (required for all booths). You may supply your own flooring, tables, and chairs or rent from the show decorator. An advanced purchase discount is offered and will ensure availability of all needed items.
As an exhibitor, you will automatically receive an email introduction email from GEMS with a username and temporary password.
After you've logged on you will be able to order services. Should you have any questions or need to have the introduction email resent, please contact Jill Zinkus by phone at 214.388.5722 ext.1 or Jill@gemsevents.com.
No cost difference if you order onsite at the show.
If you require a hardline internet connection or telephone services, use the order form here.
Please note that there is complementary internet offered onsite. However, once the show opens it can be slow. If you require a more reliable connection, we do recommend you order the exhibitor internet.
Complimentary Tickets
All exhibitors receive 20 complementary e-tickets and we encourage you to send them out to customers, friends, family, anyone that you think would like to attend the show.
These are sent out via email approximately 30 days ahead of the show. The email will come from noreply@mail3.microspec.com. Please note, this email can get sent to your spam folder. Please check there first before reaching out if you are unable to find them.
Complementary tickets are not to be used in lieu of an exhibitor badges for employees working your booth space.
Beginning the Friday the show opens, all exhibitors will need a badge to enter the show. Your badge will be good for the entirety of the weekend and you may enter from the main attendee entrance or the loading dock entrance.
Badges should be picked up at the show office desk during move in to be passed out to your team working the booth. If a team member is unable to receive one before the show, make sure another team member will be able to meet them at the entrance to pass them a badge.
Badge quantities given out are based off of booth size. Booths smaller than 400 sq. ft. are allotted 5 badges. Booths 400 sq. ft. and larger are allotted 10.
Exhibitor badges are not to be used as admission tickets for those you are inviting to attend the show.
1. Park at the Fannin South Transit Center for $3 (1604 W Bellfort Blvd, Houston, TX)
2. Get on the METRORail station connected to the lot ($1.25 each way), ride for one stop, get off at Stadium Park/Astrodome.
3. Walk the few hundred feet to the NRG Center (it will be the building closest to the METRORail stop).
Trains run every 6-12 minutes!
Enhance Your Copmany's Online Exhibitor Listing
Your basic listing will be uploaded to the website when you book your booth. Within 24 hours you will receive an automated email to enhance your listing. This link can be used multiple times and you can make updates and changes to your listing until ONE day after the show commences. If you have any questions regarding the online exhibitor listing or do not receive the link, please email our digital support rep, JenK@mpeshows.com.
Vendors will have to pick the show from a drop-down list that includes shows other than just those run by MPE.
Marketplace Events is not selling this insurance and doesn’t profit from it in any way. This is simply a resource for those vendors who don’t already have the required insurance coverage per their contracts.
The Insurance clause is #5 on the Terms and Conditions page of all booth space contracts. You may use any insurance company for insurance but it must meet the following requirements:
Comprehensive General Liability and All Risk Property insurance
Coverage must be from the start of move in to the end of move out
Coverage of at least $1,000,000 for each separate occurrence
Name Marketplace Events LLC and the venue as additional insured
Provide a copy of the certificate of insurance (COI) to MPE if requested

Your booth display height cannot exceed 8 feet (unless you are 400 sq ft and larger or on a perimeter wall).
If you'd like a vehicle to be included in your booth display, you must have prior authorization from show management.
All tables must be skirted.
You must work and sell from your own booth space. Youcannot work or sell from the aisles.
No Mascots roaming the aisles either please. This is a considered a 'roaming rights sponsorship'. If you are interested in this opportunity, speak to your Exhibitor Sales Consultant.
You cannot break down your show space until the show closes on Sunday.
As per our privacy policy, Marketplace Events is a permission-based email sender. We do not share, rent, or sell any email lists.
SCAM WARNING
There have been a number of spam emails offering our attendee lists. These are scams and the senders are unauthorized to use the Marketplace Events’ name. These scammers are attempting to receive monies from exhibiting companies without providing anything in return. These emails are not approved by Marketplace Events, and Marketplace Events would never ask for bank information or other sensitive information over email.

In efforts to protect potential joint customers from fraudulent events and scammers, we request that you do not create your own Facebook Event. This helps us manage ticket sales for the event, and ensures that our team are available to support both exhibitors and potential attendees with any questions, comments, or concerns that they have. Please feel free to reach out to your show manager or show marketing manager with your companies’ Facebook page and we can add you as a co-host to the official event.
